Learn English
A British Council website for secondary students. Lots of language and grammar activities. A wide range of reading articles to practise reading. A very large collection of links to help with research projects. There is also an area where learners can write in with a grammar question.

Vocabulary

Hardspell
This website, based on a UK TV Programme, contains a spelling game. Part one is spelling against the clock – choose the correctly spelt word from two options. Suitable for higher-level students, some of the words are challenging.
