  • Venerable Chuan Hou, Deputy Rector for Monastic Training and Administration

    Venerable Chuan Hou was born in Fujian Province, China, and has been influenced by Buddhism since young. After his ordination, he attended the Buddhist College of Min Dong in Fujian, followed by the Buddhist Academy of China in Beijing. Thereafter, he studied at the Postgraduate Institute of Pali and Buddhist Studies at University of Kelaniya, Sri Lanka, from 2005 to 2007. In 2007, at the invitation of the Buddhist College of Singapore, he was appointed to assist in academic-related matters. He is currently the Deputy Rector of BCS, overseeing Monastic Training and Administration Offices. 

  • Venerable Chuan Xing, Head of Admin, Administration

    Venerable Chuan Xing was born in Henan province of China, where he developed a strong interest in Buddhism during childhood due to the influence of his mother. He received tonsure via Venerable Hai Fa in April 1994 to become a sramanera. In 1996, he received full ordination at White Horse Temple (Baima Si) in Luoyang. In 1997 he studied at Minnan Buddhist College. In 1999, he furthered his studies at the Buddhist Academy of China. Upon graduation in 2003, his thesis was published in the China Chan Journal. He was also secretary of the City Buddhist Association and resident monk of White Horse Temple. Invited to Kong Meng San Phor Kark See Monastery in 2006 and under the tutelage of Venerable Kwang Sheng, he is currently the Head of Administration in the Buddhist College of Singapore and the editor of Awaken (Pujue) magazine.

  • image Goh Yee Chin, joined Dharma Propagation Division of Kong Meng San Phor Kark See Monastery since 1999. In 2005, he transferred his service to Administration Office of Buddhist College of Singapore and assists in administrative matters. 

    image Tan Chye Hin, joined Awareness Place Pte Ltd, a subsidiary of Kong Meng San Phor Kark See Monastery, as a Dharma Text purchaser. He transferred to the Administration Office of Buddhist College of Singapore in 2006 and assists in administrative matters.

    image Ho Siew Peng has been with the Kong Meng San Monastery since 1994 and her main roles include receiving foreign guests, coordinating spiritual events and decoration, coordinating the event of conferring 3 Major Precepts for Bhikshuni of Chinese Mahayana Tradition etc.  She transferred her service to Administration Office of Buddhist College of Singapore in 2007 and is responsible for handling cashier function of the college.

    image Ben Tan joined the Spiritual Event Management, Dharma Propagation Division of Kong Meng San Phor Kark See Monastery since 2004. He transferred his service to Buddhist College of Singapore in 2007 and assists in coordinating students’ general accommodation matters.
