On 1 September 2025 at 10:30 am, the Buddhist College of Singapore held its re-opening ceremony for the new semester at the Hall of Great Compassion. The event was attended by the Rector, Most Venerable Kwang Sheng; Vice Rectors Venerable Chuan Sheng, Venerable Chuan Hou, and Venerable Chuan Xiong; Head of Administration, Venerable Chuan Li; Head of Monastic Training, Venerable Jiu Lin; as well as class mentors, lecturers, and students.
Most Venerable Kwang Sheng warmly welcomed everyone back to the college. He encouraged students to study diligently, cultivate gratitude, and uphold moral conduct, expressing his hope that they would actively promote and propagate Buddhism.
Lastly, he also reminded students to strictly observe the discipline and regulations of both the college and the monastic community, and to uphold the precepts of Buddhism.
