2026 BCS Graduation Ceremony

On the morning of June 16, 2026, the Buddhist College of Singapore held its Graduation Ceremony at the Hall of Medicine Buddha. Certificates were awarded to the eighth cohort of English BA graduates and the fifth cohort of Chinese and English MA graduates. The ceremony was attended by Rector Venerable Kwang Sheng, Vice-Rectors Venerable Dr. Chuan Sheng, Venerable Chuan Hou, and Venerable Chuan Xiong, Head of Administration Venerable Chuan Li, Head of the Monastic Training Office Venerable Jiu Lin, as well as lecturers, staff, students, and guests.

The ceremony began with paying homage and offering flowers to the Buddha. Following this, the Rector delivered a heartfelt speech, congratulated the graduates on successfully completing their studies and expressed his joy at their achievements. He encouraged them to cultivate gratitude, reminding them that gratitude is an essential part of both life and spiritual practice.

The Rector also encouraged the graduates not to fear difficulties, but to face challenges with courage and perseverance. He emphasized the importance of applying compassion with wisdom and using their knowledge to benefit society and all sentient beings.

This was followed by the presentation of certificates and a thank-you speech by the student representatives. The ceremony concluded with the recitation of the Four Great Bodhisattva Vows and a dedication of merits led by the Rector, followed by a group photograph to commemorate the occasion.
